The Silver Queen Gin Cocktail

We've been making this drink since we've been making bitters and it has stood the test of time. It is still a favorite around our house and can be made into a punch if you'll be entertaining a crowd. It calls for Leopold's 3 Pins Alpine Herbal liqueur which is not essential, but definitely rounds this cocktail out and brings a hint of woodland spice. You could possibly substitute a different Amaro such as Nonino or Averna.

- 1 1/2 oz. good Gin, we suggest Hendricks for it's floral quality or CapRock

- 1/2 oz. DRAM Pine Syrup

- 1/2 oz. Leopold's 3 Pins Alpine Herbal Liqueur

- 1 1/2 oz. fresh squeezed grapefruit juice

- 5 shakes DRAM Citrus Medica Bitters

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker over ice and shake well. Strain into a fresh glass. If making into a punch simply incorporate all of the ingredients in a punchbowl, stir well and refrigerate until ready to serve. It is best to fine strain the grapefruit juice for a punch.
